The Story

Act  I

Set in Berlin before the Wall, Berlin Wall The Musical follows young composer Lukas and photographer Clara, who fall in love amid the music, laughter and friendships of Ava’s Café.

Overnight, their world changes when the Berlin Wall is erected, separating Lukas and Clara and splitting their group of friends between East and West. As the years pass, both hold onto the hope that they will one day see each other again.

Act I ends with the people of Berlin gathering on opposite sides of the Wall, calling out to the people they love and asking one powerful question: “Can you hear us?”

Act  II

Years after the Wall divides Berlin, Lukas and Clara remain separated but refuse to give up hope of seeing each other again. As life continues on both sides, secret letters, daring plans and old friendships keep their connection alive.

With Berlin changing around them, the friends are forced to decide how far they are willing to go for love, family and freedom. As history moves toward an unforgettable moment, Lukas and Clara continue to believe that no wall can separate them forever.
